Are Yoga Meditation Techniques Better Than Going To The Health club?

By nature, I’m not a comparer. Everything has its plusses and minuses in my book (other than, naturally, yoga which is all plusses!)

So, while I’m not anti-gym, I do believe that yoga kicks the fitness center’s derrière on every level, and you can kick your own (butt, that is) in yoga, actually, if you seem like it!

People are constantly curious as to “what else I do” to “exercise” besides yoga. The response? Nothing! Yoga is everything my body has to operate at it’s absolute best. Right here’s why:

It’s efficient!

Why’d I waste a lot time at the gym working each part of my body independently when I can connect all of the dots and do it all at once with yoga? No amount of lifting weights is going to make my arms as strong as holding up my own body weight in yoga. Likewise, virtually everything you perform in yoga is engaging your core, from core-centric postures to moving from posture to position, utilizing your core to stabilize your body. And in various inversions and arm balances, yoga enables you to raise your heart beat, enhance your muscles, and extend them out all at once. How’s that for efficiency?

Whether or not you agree with the author’s viewpoint on the superiority of yoga reflection strategies over the health club or not, you need to confess they’re compelling. Going to the fitness center does include a particular level of social communication, whereas you can be all by yourself doing yoga if you want to. I think that the jury is still out on this one, don’t you?
