Did you understand the concept of a ‘mantra’ is actually hundreds of thousands of years of ages? Mantras were first discussed in the old Vedic scriptures as old as 1000 BCE. A mantra is merely a word, collection of words or sounds that’s duplicated as a way of achieving favorable modification in one’s life.

There are countless various mantras, all with different significances and purposes. I want to share three very powerful mantras with you today:

“Om mani padme hum”

It’s tough if not difficult to precisely translate om mani padme hum. However, an extremely rough translation might be ‘Behold! The Gem In the Lotus!’

The translation and meaning of this mantra isn’t actually vital. All mantras work on a vibrational and jointly historical level, instead of a level of understanding.

Because mantras are old, they’ve been chanted millions upon millions of times by millions upon millions of individuals. This collective chanting over the ages has given a very strong vibration and power to this collection of noises.

“Wha Hay Guru”

Wha Hay Expert can be shouted as a part of the So Darshan Chakra Kriya. This is considered the most powerful kriya in all of Kundalini Yoga. When exercised, it’s believed to bring clarity of mind, relieve tension, and help the specialist rapidly work through mental and spiritual blocks.

Wha Hay Master equates approximately to ‘ecstasy through awareness.’ To do the So Darshan Chakra Kriya, follow these steps:

  1. Sit either crossed-legged on the floor or in a chair with a straight spinal column.
  2. Using your right thumb, obstruct your best nostril.
  3. Inhale with your left nostril. Hold your breath while mentally repeating the mantra Wha Hay Expert 16 times.
  4. With each repetition of Wha Hay Master, move your belly in 3 graduated activities towards the spinal column. For example, on Wha pull it 1/3 of the method in, on Hay draw your belly 2/3rds of the means in, and on Expert pull your belly in all the means.
  5. After the 16th repetition of Wha Hay Master, use your right little finger to block your left nostril, raise your best thumb to release the right nostril, and breathe out with your right nostril. Exhale completely.
  6. Again, block your best nostril, breath in through the left nostril, and continue duplicating Means Hay Master 16 times as explained above.
  7. To start, practice this sequence for 11 minutes each day. Gradually develop the time spent exercising.

“Sa Ta Na Ma”

‘Sa, Ta, Na, Ma’ is another mantra used in Kundalini Yoga. It about translates to ‘Infinity, Life, Fatality, Rebirth.’ The effective Kirtan Kriya utilizes this mantra. It’s believed that exercising Kirtan Kriya can assist to relieve stress and stress and anxiety, promote circulation, improve concentration, and bridge the gap in between body and mind.

To practice Kirtan Kriya, kindly follow these steps:

  1. Sit with your spinal column straight either crossed-legged on the floor or in a chair.
  2. Close your eyes and put your wrists on the knees with your palms facing up. Gently touch the index fingers and thumbs of each hand together.
  3. Perform the following hand activities while chanting the mantra:
    • Say ‘Sa’ as you touch the forefinger and thumb together
    • Say ‘Ta’ as you touch the middle finger and thumb together
    • Say ‘Na’ as you touch the ring finger and thumb together
    • Say ‘Ma’ as you touch the little finger and thumb together
  4. Begin once again chanting ‘Sa’ as you touch the index finger and thumb together.
  5. Repeat these hand motions as you shout the words ‘Sa, Ta, Na, Ma’
  6. Continue this practice for a minimum of 12 minutes per day to begin.

Although it can take a little bit of time from your hectic day to take a seat and exercise any of these three mantras, it deserves the time and effort. Even simply as little as 10 minutes each day for a week can make a big difference in your life.
